Sometimes called the Mack Stick for short, the Savage Gear® 3D Mackerel Stick Bait is a bulletproof hard bait for taking rough-and-tumble saltwater species like tuna, giant trevally, bluefish, and snapper. It casts for distance, can be retrieved at any speed, has great action, and stands up to abuse all day long. Use it as a twitchbait, a jerkbait, a glidebait, or a burner – the Mack Stick has a controllable side-to-side swim that perfectly emulates a nervous baitfish. Its hard ABS reinforced body features cross-directional, welded stainless steel thru-wire construction plus internal holographic prism tape for maximum flash. Fitted with extra-strong hardware and Owner ST66 tinned treble hooks, the Savage Gear 3D Mackerel Stick Bait is precisely weighted for a slow sink. Comes with extra-strong single hooks for convenient swap-out.
Based on the scan of a real mackerel, this lure is built very though with cross directional through wire construction to withstand brutal strikes. This exceptional twitch bait can be worked at any speed. In addition, it will glide from side to side when reeled with a steady retrieve.
